High stool design based on the theme of 'discovery'.

'Discovering' something brings a sense of ownership and attachment to the object.
Stones or shells found as a child, a shop or place that makes you think you are the only one who has found it.
We naturally feel an attachment to things we have actively, rather than passively, come to know.

The high stool was designed with the aim of encouraging this kind of sense of attachment that discovery brings.
It is not only a chair to sit on, but also a tool to encourage a sense of attachment to the space.

The shape of the chair that most of us come up with is designed to let us recognise the function of sitting visually.
For this project, we attempt to remove this visual chair form as possible, so that its appearance has become an “object”.
It is to let the user find the function of sitting by trying and touching rather than gaining the visual information.
